About Us

Fran Snavely and Lisa Bessen are sisters who grew up in the restaurant business. Before they got married and changed their names they use to be Gullace’s. The girls parents, grandparents, and Aunt and Uncle owned Gullace’s Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge in Victor-Farmington, New York. Lisa cooked, and Fran waitressed, and it was just a way of life they grew up with. The family sold their restaurant and went separate ways. Many years later, the sisters reunited. They found a cute little ice cream parlor and restaurant for sale in Bloomfield, so they went into business together in the Spring of 2002.

In the past, the restaurant was only seasonal, open from late April or early May until Labor Day. Adding heat enables the restaurant to stay open longer during the year, it now is open thru the holidays, with only January and February off.
